30km Lake Run
SPONSOR:
A flat, asphalt 30km race set alongside Lake Pamvotida, offering a rare route experience through a landscape of natural beauty. Ideal for runners taking on the distance for the first time, as well as for experienced athletes seeking the conditions for a strong performance.

Age Categories:
Participation is open to runners who have completed their 18th year of age. Participants are advised to undergo a recent medical and cardiological examination prior to participation. The organizers do not require medical certificates. Participation takes place under the exclusive responsibility of the participants.
Bib Numbers & Race Pack Collection:
The collection of bib numbers and race memorabilia will take place at the secretariat, located at Mavili Square, Ioannina.

For participants arriving in Ioannina on Sunday, bib numbers may be collected before the start of the races, beginning at 07:00.
Participation Fee:

- Group Registration (above 10 people): 25 euros
- Recognized clubs by the General Secretariat of Sports/EOSLMA-Y (above 10 people): 20 euros
- The discounted package applies to unemployed individuals, university students (who have not exceeded 30 years of age), and school students. Unemployed individuals and university students are required to present a valid document proving their status at the registration desk on the day they collect their participation package.
- The organizers reserve the right to extend the registration period. However, for registrations completed after 24:00 (midnight) on Sunday, August 30, 2026 — subject to availability — an additional fee of €7 per race entry will apply. In this case, discounted participation packages will not be valid.

Every athlete that after 12:45 has not gone through the intersection Miaoulis Coast and Vogianou will continue the path from the lakeside sidewalk street, according to the directions of the judge and will finish under his/her own responsibility.

Refreshment zones:
There will be 11 stations for supplies along the course, starting at the 2.5km mark and placed every 2.5km, up to the 27.5km mark.
Bottled water will be available at all feeding stations.
Chemical toilets will be located at 10km, 15km, 20km, and 25km.

Finish Area Refreshments:
At the finish area, bottled water and Dole bananas will be available for all runners.
NOTE: Runners are requested to dispose of bottles and cups on the right side of the road to facilitate their collection and recycling.
Categories:
Men - Women:
1. Up to 34 years old
2. 35 to 39 years old
3. 40 to 44 years old
4. 45 to 49 years old
5. 50 to 54 years old
6. 55 to 59 years old
7. 60 to 64 years old
8. 65 years old and more
If the number of participants is not sufficient in any of the above categories, will apply age per decade. Winners of the overall classification will not be awarded in their category.
Prizes - Awards:
All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and a race certificate, which will be available for download from the race website once the official results are posted. In the overall men’s and women’s rankings, medals and certificates will be awarded to the top three runners. In the age categories (five-year intervals), the top three runners will also receive a medal and certificate. Award ceremonies will be held exclusively for the overall categories of the three races.
No award ceremonies will take place for the age categories. Winners of the age categories may collect their awards from the race secretariat.
Cash prizes:
The first three male and female winners of the overall classification will receive cash prizes. The amounts will be €600, €300 and €150 respectively.
Registration Types:
There are 2 types:
a. Individual Registrations:These are submitted by individual participants.
b. Group Registrations:
- Group registrations are intended for teams of at least 10 participants who wish to take part in any of the races (30 km, 10 km, or 5 km).Eligible groups include gyms, companies, schools, private and public organizations, travel agencies, as well as groups of friends who wish to participate as a team.
c. Club Registrations:
- These are intended for sports clubs and are available to teams of at least 10 participants who wish to take part in any of the races (30 km, 10 km, or 5 km).Eligible clubs include sports associations recognized and registered with the General Secretariat for Sports, as well as running clubs affiliated with EOSLMA-Y.
For group registration, a Team Leader should be appointed. The Leader of each Team will represent the Team against the organizing committee. The personal data declared by the participant upon submission of entry form are true and correct. In case the entry form is submitted by a third party, it is granted that the participant consents to his/her personal data being given to the Organizing Committee of the event by the third party.
Group registrations can be completed either online or by filling out the group registration Excel form and sending it to info@ioanninalakerun.gr
Safety and Medical Support:
The event provides organized medical support throughout the race, including mobile units and ambulances of the National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAB), volunteer doctors, and trained members of the Hellenic Red Cross Volunteer Samaritans and Rescuers Corps (Ioannina Branch).
The Ioannina Traffic Police, in cooperation with the Ioannina Police Directorate, contributes to traffic regulation and the safe conduct of the event.
All participants are strongly advised to undergo a recent medical and cardiological examination prior to the race.
Participants take part in the event under their exclusive personal responsibility. For minors, parental or legal guardian consent is required.
Acceptance of the terms of participation and the responsible declaration is completed during the online registration process.
Runner's Pick Up 30 km:
A car of the organization with volunteer Samaritans will follow the last runners, in order to collect those who, drop out. Those who do not need medical assistance can also wait at the aid stations until the event’s car returns them to the finish.
Personal Belongings Management:
Competing participants will drop off and collect their personal belongings at the storage area located at the 9th Primary School Soufari Sarai, 31 Glykidon Street, which is 400 meters from the starting point. Athletes are kindly asked not to place valuable items in their bags. The organizers are not responsible for any loss of belongings.
